Meet Mrs. Curiel-Trevino/Title 1 Tutor
ABOUT ME:
Welcome to SSCM! I'm married to my husband of 40 years, with 2 grown young men, and blessed with 6 grandchildren. I'm a retired teacher of 22 years. I taught grades 2nd-6th. My retirement was short lived. My prayers for guidance were, "Lord, now what and how can I continue to serve you?" His light continues to bless me with the ability to work with your children. I'm the Title 1 tutor.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
I graduated from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with a Bachelor's Degree, CUM LAUDE honors in Interdisciplinary Studies emphasis in BilinguaI Education. I was the 6th grade Innovation Academy Mathematics Teacher at Cunningham M.S. I also taught 3rd-5th grade at Webb Elementary. The last 5 years of my teaching career I taught 2nd grade at Zavala Elementary. CMS Teacher of the Year nominee 2006-2007, Finalist for HEB Excellence in Teaching award 2008-2009, 2009-2010 and 2010-2011. Reading Academy Certified, CPR certified.

FAVORITES:
My favorite color is purple. I like to drink flavored teas or Coke cola. Popcorn and plain M&M's are a few of my favorite snacks.
